The Robot Empire plans to conquer Earth. One of their scientists, Nabalon, rebels against this decision and is injured while trying to defect. The Earthling Michitaro Takeo discovers Nabalon and nurses him back to health. As a token of gratitude, Nabalon gives him the 7-step transforming robot 'Trider G7' that he designed. Michitaro then used the G7 for peaceful purposes as worker in his "Takeo General Company". Unfortunately Michitaro passes away and the company is at risk of bankruptcy. His son Watta then steps in to run the company. With the help of the G7, Watta fights to save the Takeo General Company and protect everyone's happiness.
